NoteV1 listens to your computer's system audio and watches the window you pick, then transcribes the conversation and writes up the notes, all on your own machine. There's no bot: it doesn't dial into the call or show up in the participant list, so it works the same on Zoom, Teams, Meet, a phone call, or in person. Your recordings, transcripts, and notes stay on your device, which matters when meetings cover client or candidate details you can't put on someone else's server.

Yes. If your computer can hear the audio and show the screen, it can capture the meeting. That covers Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddles, FaceTime, Webex, Discord, in-person meetings through the microphone, and anything else that makes sound on your machine.

By default, everything stays on your own computer: recordings, captured frames, transcripts, and notes. The default transcription (Whisper or Parakeet) and note generation (a local model via Ollama) run entirely on-device, so nothing has to leave your computer. Two engines are opt-in and use your own API key: Deepgram for cloud transcription and Claude for note generation. Only with those enabled does data leave your machine, and it goes straight to the provider you chose, never through our servers. A future Pro tier will add more cloud features, each opt-in and clearly described before you turn it on.

Microphone (to capture audio), screen recording (to capture the frames), and Calendar (to show upcoming meetings at the top of the list). Your computer prompts you for each on first use, and everything works without Calendar access if you'd rather skip that one.

You choose your transcription engine. Two of them, Whisper and Parakeet, run entirely on your own computer, so audio never leaves your device. Both handle typical meeting audio well and scale with your hardware. For the highest accuracy and real-time captions, you can add your own Deepgram API key to transcribe in the cloud. On-device is the default; cloud is opt-in.
